I woke up early today. Sleepless. My first thought. While our Federal government is being dismantled one agency at a time, one social service at a time, there is a mounting toll that can not be ignored. The rapid fire flow of news items, policy changes, statements, executive orders from the president, from the administration, and its amplified, hyper-efficient network propagandists, has overwhelmed most of us, pushed us into the ring’s corner, like a heavy weight boxer trying to recover his strength and breath. Brilliantly evil Bannon got it right.

The toll includes an growing presence of anxiety and its manifestations across the population, regardless of age group. For example, 3 in 10 teens are claims that anxiety and depression according to very recent research by the Pew Research Center. How about Male anger, and male depression, amongst young men, white , Latino and black, a condition that is chronically underreported? I won’t even go there. But allow me to say that it helped win elections and put our new “protectors” in power, capturing many male independent voters to align with a resurgent patriarchal authorianism.
